Title: Exhibition Catalogue
Date: May 2024

Brief: To create a layout based on a exhibition catalogue from the Library of Congress that held an extensive amount of information and photos, as well as replicate the experience of the exhibition.

Details: An important message to show would be the significance of supporting one another and how artwork connects and celebrates communities of all kinds. Visual strategy includes having a “red thread” or graphic line go through all the artworks to show a connection between artpieces and artists.

I also showcase this thread going through the headers, each separate letter acting as an individual. The flow and color-blocking gives the movement which can hint towards the movement of change, and the colors are tints of the primary colors red, blue, and yellow which all artists learn at least once in their lives.

 Title: Editorial Spreads
Date: December 2022

Brief: To create an editorial layout of an interview with an artist of choice, for VEER magazine, communicating the information in a clear way but also communicating traits of that artist. The intended audience was readers of VEER magazine.

Details: The information is an interview from The Great Discontent describing the experiences of the artist Jing Wei and how she came into success. I wanted to capture her style of artwork with it’s bubbly and organic shapes, which reflects her ever-changing journey to her career today.
